This is [probably] what you’re looking for.
Just about everything you see on this website started with one initial thought back at Salem State College. I originally thought I was going to be a Communications major with a minor in Computer Science. But one day I decided to walk down to the basement of the Student Center and to the end of a long, faintly lit corridor. That’s when I discovered that the school has a college radio station (WMWM 91.7 FM). I became a member of the station and eventually got my own weekly program. It was here where I decided to venture into the world of becoming a disc jockey. I loved the freedom to play music that resonated with myself and others. At some point I learned that despite what you heard on commercial radio, disc jockeys did not have the same freedom as college radio DJs when it came to choosing what songs to play on the air. That discovery pushed me to become a club/bar disc jockey in Boston. I used the production studio at the radio station to fine tune my programing, production & mixing skills. One of my many mixtapes got into the right hands at the right time, and lead me to my first gig at an after hours club called The Loft in 1992. More than 30 years later, I find myself very lucky to have made a name for myself through music. It has taken me to places I thought I could only experience through a book or someone else’s stories. DJing is what I love to do the most, and I plan to keep doing it until my last moments on earth.
There’s a good chance if you’re coming to this site, you’re here for the music. Stream and/or download Midnight Society music (as well as sneak previews to special mixes) via my HearThis and Mixcloud. Stay tuned for more.
